Recreation and Nutrition

Wellness isn’t just about how many calories you burn. We know that there is more to being healthy than just cardio machines or weights. The Y offers a variety of ways to support your health, keep you active, and perhaps even make friends and have fun at the same time.

Open Gym

At certain times during the week, our gym (the Sebring-Lewis Center) is open to youth and adults to use however you’d like. You can view open gym times by checking the gym schedule.

Community Acupuncture

Come explore the benefits of acupuncture in a group setting, at no cost. Community Acupuncture is an effective, efficient, way to treat stress and targeted pain issues. Community Acupuncture uses the NADA protocol (a series of needles inserted into the ear) and is done fully-clothed, while sitting in chairs.

Health & Wellness Orientation

The concept of getting into shape is simple. The tricky part is carrying it out in a way that fits your lifestyle. And that’s where our new orientation can help. You’ll get started (or re-started) with just the right amount of personal staff support.

Please note: health and wellness orientations are different from our personal training program.

Level 1: (1 or 2 meetings) If you’re pretty comfortable working out and have previous gym or exercise experience, sign up for this level to get any questions answered by a Health & Wellness staff member, and find out how to make the most of your membership.

Level 2: (2 or 3 meetings) If you have done some exercise in the past, but would like some help setting goals and developing your exercise plan, a Health & Wellness staff member will go further in-depth with you than in the basic orientation.

Level 3: (3 or 4 meetings) If you have minimal or no exercise experience, this in-depth orientation can help you develop new health and wellness habits at a gradual pace.

To register for any of the orientation levels, contact member relations at 847-475-7400 ext. 286.

For additional information, e-mail Mira Kaiser, or call 847-475-7400 ext. 254 to speak with her directly.

Adult Soccer

Break away from the workout room and on to the field with your friends in our Adult Soccer League. Join as a group, or as a free agent, every Sunday afternoon for games officiated by a certified referee. Games are officiated by certified referees. For more information, please contact Steve Seidel by email or 847-475-7400 x256.
