Camp Echo Home / Camps / On-Site Teens (Grades 8-10) / Explorers (Grade 8)

Explorers (Grade 8)

Living in platform tents at Outpost, Explorers merges the Main Camp and wilderness experiences, combining programming elements of both. Participants follow Main Camp’s morning schedule, taking part in camptivities, and spend afternoons engaging in age-appropriate group activities like our crate climb challenge or on our team building course. The group has dinner at Outpost and evening activities separate from Main Camp. Explorers get a taste of wilderness living, and a special view of Camp Echo as they canoe the lake’s perimeter and hike the property line during their stay.

Main Camp Add-Ons

Explorers are able to participate in Main Camp add-on programs during the morning camptivities. These add-on programs include horseback riding lessons, Sailing Specialty Camp, and Ranch Camp. Learn more about these programs on our Traditional Camp page.
