Project SOAR: Mentoring at the Y
As mentors, adults are encouraged to be a friend and provide a stable, caring relationship with a younger person. Mentors meet one-on-one with youth in the Evanston area for a minimum of one year. Together they’ll also participate in group activities like bowling, skiing, camping, and sporting events.

Tutoring
Because each child’s learning needs are unique, the McGaw Y offers one hour of free, one-on-one tutoring per week to our members in grades K-8. Tutoring is available in math, reading, English, and study skills.
