Project Y
After school hours are an important time for middle school youth to engage in positive and enriching activities that will shape who they become one day. Be assured that your child will be well taken care of at the YMCA as we engage your middle school-age youth with enriching activities that they will want to come back to.
Engaging activities and enriching projects.
Every 6-week session, your child will have an opportunity to choose a creative area that they are interested in where they will receive hands-on experience and instruction from a qualified instructor in that area.
Creative curriculum with a focus on academics.
Communication and positive role models are keys to academic success. That’s why we offer 1-on-1 tutoring and time for homework help every day to provide an important connection among the youth, tutor, and their teacher. We connect with your child’s teachers in order to help us learn how to best work with your child to better meet their needs. We also meet with you and your child to set specific goals unique to your child that we will work on together to achieve throughout the year.
