School’s Out (Grades K-5)

After School Care/Activities

The hours after school are a critical period in the day for your kids.  We understand that it’s difficult for working parents to be at home in the afternoons, so we’ve created a fun, friendly environment that they’ll look forward to every day.

Spots now open for 4th and 5th graders after school -  a chance for growth and growing up.

We now have some spaces open for 4th and 5th grade students to join our enriching after-school program.  We will nurture their creativity and growth with projects like:

  • Our Talent Show
  • A Poetry Workshop
  • Food & Fun (healthy cooking and healthy eating)
  • Passport to Manhood where we support and encourage boys in the development of social skills and how to manage their lives before they head off to the more complicated world of middle school.
  • Homework support and the structure to get it done.
  • End of school-year art show.

We have space dedicated to this age group, a place they can feel at home. The rooms have computers and feel like a place this age group wants to hang out – but with role models they can relate to guiding them all the way.

Come and see what the program is all about.  Visit us at 1420 Maple Avenue, or give us a call at 847.475.8580 and we would be happy to show you around. They will love it, and so will you.

School’s Out – After School and Holiday Care (Grades K-5)

Our staff will meet your children at school and accompany them on a bus or van to the Y, where we’ll engage them in constructive and fun activities until 6:15 pm. When you pick up, the homework is done and you have more time to just enjoy time with your kids in the evening.

Flexible Care for Working Parents

School’s Out meets on school days off and half days, so a change in school schedules doesn’t have to change your schedule. Our supervised van transport to our Y from any school in District 65 makes the program a seamless addition to your child’s afternoon. And our holiday program is offered on most days when District 65 is not in session. Children can be enrolled in a 5-day or 3-day per week program and our school break program.

After-School Activities and Enrichment

We offer small-group homework help every day after school, which frees up your family during your evening and weekend time together. But there’s a lot more to childhood than school. Through regular swim lessons, gym and playground activities, and discovery workshops for a variety of interests, kids learn the value of healthy living and develop their interests outside of class.
