Youth & Family Engagement Coordinator

The Youth & Family Engagement Coordinator leads the daily operations, staff supervision, and overall experience of the Kids Club program, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for children and families. In partnership with Membership and Program leaders, this role plays a key part in designing and delivering meaningful family-centered experiences, including events, activities, and programs that strengthen connection and community. The Coordinator actively supports the promotion and growth of family membership and youth programming, both within the YMCA and throughout the broader community. This position serves as a vital connector between members and programs, identifying the needs of families and implementing strategies that enhance participation, deepen engagement, and foster a strong sense of belonging. Lifeguard

Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring the safety of the facility patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies as well as enforcing all facility rules and regulations. Salary Range: Starting at $15.00 Per Hour Department: Aquatics Employment Type: Part-time Days/Hours: Monday – Friday, 5:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Saturday, 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Sunday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Experience/Education/Certification Requirements: Must have American Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate.  Must enforce policies, rules and regulations of the Aquatic Center. Must wear uniform, whistle, tube and appropriate rescue equipment while on duty. Must be able to position yourself to view the entire pool area easily. Pool must be scanned every 10 seconds and you must be able to respond to an emergency within 10 seconds. Responsible for rescue and emergency care of any accident victim in or around the pool. EVANSTON, IL — The McGaw YMCA, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community, announced the election of three new members to serve three-year terms on its Board of Directors. The announcement was made at the 137th Annual Meeting held August 9. The following community leaders have been elected to the board: Michael Bergmann, Executive Director of the Public Interest Law Initiative Nancy Owens, recently retired V.P./Chief Financial Officer at the YMCA of the USA Corey Winchester, a locally, regionally, and nationally recognized educator who mainly serves as a History/Social Science teacher and Staff Coordinator of Students Organized Against Racism (SOAR) at Evanston Township High School The Annual Meeting was held in person at the McGaw YMCA for the first time since 2019.
