Preschool Teacher

The Preschool Teacher is responsible for the care and education of a group of children as a part of a teaching team. The Preschool Teacher works with the classroom team to plan, implement, as well as conduct age-appropriate activities in accordance with specified program standards that may include, DCFS, NAEYC, and McGaw YMCA operational policies. This position requires active participation with other members of the teaching team, and parents to assess and address the needs of individual children and ensure that the child’s and family’s needs are supported. Salary Range: $37,500 – $43,600 annually Department: Children’s Center Employment Type: Full-Time Salaried – Non-exempt Days/Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. or 10:15 a.m. – 6:15 p.m. Experience/Education/Certification Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, or equivalent subject from an accredited institution preferred.
