Free and open to the public, this annual event features a day of fun-filled, screen-free activities to celebrate kids being kids. EVANSTON, IL – The McGaw YMCA invites families from Evanston and surrounding areas to its annual Healthy Kids Day® on Saturday, April 25 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. This free, high-energy event celebrates movement, wellness, and family fun with a variety of screen-free activities designed to kick off a safe, healthy, and fun start to the summer season. Families can enjoy wide range of screen-free activities, including: Move & Play Zones with a bounce house Sports skills clinics Camptivities & fire safety demos Water safety demonstrations Healthy snack ideas and samples Music and family dance party Families can also connect with YMCA staff and community partners, explore resources, watch demos, and enter to win prizes, including a YMCA Family Membership. McGaw YMCA is seeking a dynamic and relationship-driven Director of Major Gifts & Corporate Partnerships to help expand philanthropic support for programs that strengthen the Evanston community. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative development team working to deepen relationships with donors, corporate partners, and community leaders who believe in the power of the YMCA to serve children, families, and individuals across Evanston. The Director of Major Gifts & Corporate Partnerships will lead the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major donors and strategic partners while helping advance McGaw YMCA’s culture of philanthropy and community engagement. Working closely with the Chief Development Officer, CEO, and volunteer leaders, this role plays an important part in expanding philanthropic investment that supports the Y’s programs, partnerships, and long-term sustainability.
