MetaMedia is a digital media STEAM focused after-school and hangout space open exclusively to middle school youth. Our mentors support ‘makers’ (youth) in exploring passions and projects, building community, and showcasing their work. The mentor will implement STEAM curriculum daily and enhance the mindset and skillsets of makers while preparing them for high school. The MetaMedia Program Coordinator is responsible for all Community based MetaMedia programming. Including registration-based programs (MSX & After-School), implementation and developing STEAM based workshops, projects, showcases, and special events. The Coordinator will constantly assess program needs based on quarterly parent surveys, staff meetings, and “maker” feedback, ensuring all programs meet our maker mindset and skillsets. The manager is responsible for the delegation of curriculum development and scheduling based on the needs of the population served. Parent programming and family engagement are essential to this role and the Coordinator will work closely with part-time staff members to ensure communication with parents is clear and consistent.
