McGaw YMCA to Honor Emerson Street Y in New Signage Plan 

McGaw YMCA is set to begin new interior signage installations, including the “Emerson Street Walkway,” honoring the legacy of the historic Emerson Street YMCA.  EVANSTON, IL. — McGaw YMCA is excited to announce that installation of interior signage for its Signage & Wayfinding project will begin in October. This marks a significant milestone in the Y’s ongoing efforts to streamline navigation within and around the 1000 Grove Street building.  During this phase, surfaces will be prepped for the installation of the first round of large-format wayfinding graphics in key areas. Permanent ADA-compliant room signs and directories will then be installed throughout the building, except on the Men’s Residence floors and Level 2 in that wing due to the anticipated renovation of the residence. Signage & Wayfinding Installation Begins Soon

We’re excited to share that the installation of interior signage and wayfinding graphics will begin shortly. This is a key milestone in our Signage & Wayfinding project, aimed at improving navigation within and around the 1000 Grove Street building. Here’s what you can expect during this phase: Wall and door surfaces in key areas will be prepped and painted, followed by the installation of the first set of large-format wayfinding graphics. Please note that not all areas on every floor will receive new graphics during this initial installation, but work will continue until all member-serving spaces are completed. Temporary signs will be placed in certain locations as we test messaging. We’ve adopted consistent names for amenities, entrances, and parking lots. This common language will improve accessibility, simplify directions, and support more flexible use of spaces. View the list. A Century in the Making: Register for Camp Echo’s 100th Anniversary Weekend

Join Camp Echo supporters for a historic celebration weekend September 20-22.  FREMONT, MI – McGaw YMCA’s Camp Echo invites the community to register for its highly anticipated 100th Anniversary culminating event scheduled for September 20-22. Spend the weekend at Camp Echo to commemorate a century of cherished memories and community spirit. This historic gathering will have something for everyone, whether attendees are seasoned campers, alumni, volunteers, former staff, or new to the camp experience. Sample activities include camp tours, peninsula games, coffee and conversation, Tap Talks, and campfires with a mix of songs, skits, and stories spanning generations. Attendees can choose to stay on-site in yurts or cabins or select a more rustic experience by bringing their own tents. The cost for celebration weekend ranges from $80 to $120 per person for on-site housing, and $40 to $60 per person for on-site tent or off-site housing, which participants arrange themselves. A
