Family Programs

You can submit your registration via this GOOGLE FORM starting Monday, February 15 at noon central time!

Camp Echo offers both long weekend and week-long family camps.

At Family Camp, each family has its own cabin for their time at camp. We recognize that there is not a single definition of family and allow participants to define family however they would like. There must be at least one adult (19+) in every cabin. Cabins do not have private bathrooms.

Camp Echo offers a variety of activities during Family Camp including traditional camp activities such as swimming, archery, boating & canoeing and arts & crafts, and community-based programming such as talent shows, scavenger hunts, and carnivals. Some activities require sign-up and others are offered on a drop-in basis.

2021 RATES
Family camp rates are based on a per person rate. Adult (19+), Youth (6-18), Preschool (1-5).

In an effort to make camp more accessible while also covering the costs of our operation, we have three options of pricing for Echo Corps. Every family is empowered to select the option that best works for their family at the time of registration. This selection does not impact how registrations are processed or any aspect of the experience.

Option A: Families selecting this option will be paying the program fee which is the same as our Summer 2020 rates.
Option B: Families selecting this option will be helping Camp Echo cover the increased costs of operating camp for their family.
Option C: Families selecting this option will be covering the full cost increase of operating camp for this summer, including investment in higher salaries for our seasonal staff.

(Prices listed Option A/Option B/Option C)
4 Day Adult: $310/$340/$370

4 Day Youth: $230/$260/$290

4 Day Preschool: $95/$125/$155

6 Day Adult: $500/$550/$600

2021 REGISTRATION
The first phase of Family Camp registration will be open from Monday, February 15 at NOON central – Wednesday, February 17 at NOON central. All families can submit registrations during this time.

Priority registration will be given to the following groups:

  • Families who were enrolled in family camp at the time of 2020 cancellation (including those that attended)
  • Families who attended any session of family camp during Summer 2020
  • McGaw members
  • Family campers who attended in 2019 or families of youth campers from 2019
  • All others

Due to limited capacity, we know that we may not be able to serve all of the families who are interested in Family Camp this summer. Our primary goal is to serve as many families as possible and to honor our commitment to families who were enrolled at the time of cancellation in 2020.

Open enrollment will begin after Phase 1 ends on Wednesday, February 17 at noon. At this point, registration will be first-come, first-serve.

HOW TO REGISTER
You can submit your registration via this GOOGLE FORM starting Monday, February 15 at noon central time! (Please note this form will not be live until February 15 at Noon)

COVID-19 UPDATES
Camp Echo successfully ran family programs throughout summer 2020. While our program offerings looked different, the hallmarks of the experience remained the same. We plan to keep many of the same policies and procedures that were successful in 2020.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Programs & Activities

  • Families will be expected to maintain physical distance from each other and our staff while in activity areas.
  • Some activities will be scheduled in advance (water skiing, horseback riding) and others will be drop-in.
  • We will have community activities such as campfires and talent shows. Programs will primarily be held outside.
  • Camp Echo plans to offer all of our activity areas at Family Camp, with increased cleaning and distancing protocols.

Facilities & Dining

  • Cabins will be limited to 10 people. We recognize that there is not a single definition of family and allow participants to define family however they would like.
    • If your family plans to have close interaction with another family, we encourage them to share a cabin so we can accommodate more families.
  • Families will eat all meals together, primarily outside at Café Echo.
    • Camp Echo can provide gluten-free, dairy-free and vegetarian alternatives.
  • KYBOs will be assigned for use in order to decrease cross-contact between families.

Health & Protocols

  • The overall capacity at camp will be reduced.
  • There will be a daily health screening. If anyone in a family displays COVID-19 symptoms, the entire group will be asked to leave.
  • Masks will be worn at all times when indoors (expect in your own cabin) or in close proximity to others not in their family.
  • We do not expect to require vaccines for families. This is based on current guidance from the ACA, which is working with the CDC and public health experts. They have shared that they don’t expect camper age participants (under 16) to have access to vaccines by next summer due to their low-risk and therefore low priority for vaccine distribution. Our hope is that staff would be vaccinated.
  • Families will be expected to stay on-site at Camp Echo for the duration of their program.
