Leadership. Team-Building. Service. Adventure.
This fall, we will be providing virtual and (safety permitting) in person programming for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors through Echo Corps. Echo Corps will focus on relationship building/peer connection, camp spirit, service and fun!
Registration for Fall Echo Corps is now open via CampInTouch! On your CampInTouch account, access the Camper Application and select Season 2021 to register. The Camper Application will also allow you to select the pricing tier you would like to be charged at.

Thursday, December 10Meetings will begin at 7pm and wrap up between 8pm and 8:30pm.
Campers can choose either a virtual only or hybrid option for Echo Corps.
Virtual Only: Campers meet each week via Zoom. The program will follow the same model and structure as participants in the hybrid option. We are excited that this can provide an opportunity for campers both within and outside the Evanston area to engage with Echo Corps this fall!
Hybrid: Campers meet each Thursday, either virtually or in-person. Our goal is for each participant to have at least 2 in-person meetings in Evanston. In-person meetings will be no more than 10 campers and require masks and social distancing. Weather dependent, we will meet outside or inside the McGaw YMCA in approved spaces. Dates and location of meetings may not be confirmed until the beginning of the week.
Please note: We will notify families immediately if public health restrictions or YMCA policies change Camp Echo’s program offerings in any way. If we are unable to meet in person, we will continue to meet virtually.
Activities & Programming
Some sample program offerings include: TAPS talk, games, discussions about the future of camp, virtual Olympics, service projects, Echo records, talent/ME Show, campfires and more!
Since a majority of our programming will be offered virtually, service through Echo Corps will look a bit different this fall. We are hoping to be able to provide and support a variety of service opportunities either with our group or individually as we know many of our students seek service hours for school or other commitments.
In an effort to make camp more accessible while also covering the costs of our operation, we will have three tiers of pricing for Echo Corps.
Every family is empowered to select the Tier that best fits their budget at the time of registration. This selection does not impact how registrations are processed or any aspect of a family experience. If Tier I is not affordable, there is additional fee assistance available.
Tier I: $40 (Reflects most direct costs for the program)
Tier II: $70 (Covers all direct costs and some administrative/facility/infrastructure overhead)
Tier III: $100 (Reflects the true cost of operating Echo Corps and maintaining our staff & facilities)
Any family who was previously awarded fee assistance for summer 2020 programs will be awarded fee assistance at the same percentage, based on the full cost of camp (Tier III). If your family needs to set up a payment plan or further fee assistance, contact Sarah.
*SIT 2020: Campers who were supposed to work at Camp Echo as Staff-In-Training during Summer 2020 can participate in Echo Corps free of charge this fall.
