Our registration will be simplified this year with one week for all returning and new campers to submit applications:
Monday, December 2 at NOON Central Time until Thursday, December 5 at NOON Central Time. By creating a single enrollment window, we will gain greater insight into the overall demand for various programs and make adjustments to maximize participation for all who are interested in attending camp.
The Echo staff will still randomly order and manually process applications in three waves.
- Returning campers (summers 2018 and 2019) and siblings
- McGaw members
- New campers
During these initial waves, campers are limited to two programs and one Adventure Trip or Leadership Program (though they may enroll in one of each). All families who apply during this first window will be notified of enrollment the week of December 16.
Open enrollment will begin on Monday, December 23. Different than the first registration phase, these applications will be processed first-come first-serve until summer. All program limits will be removed at this time.
If you have questions about the registration process, please call the Echo office (847-475-7400 x259) or send us an email.
Family Camp registration does not follow the same timeline as youth program registration.
Returning Families, McGaw members, and new families:
Turn in your registration form by Monday, January 6 at 12pm by phone, fax, or email to increase your chance of enrollment. Once turned in, we will randomly process applications in the following order: returning families, McGaw members, and non-members.
Any applications received after Monday, January 6 at 12pm will be processed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
If you have any questions about Family Camp or the registration process for Family Camp, please contact Program & Registration Coordinator Anna Vogel.
If you plan to apply for fee assistance for any Camp Echo programs, we encourage you to submit a copy of your most recent 1040 tax form as soon as possible. We are encouraging families to submit income documents prior to completing the online camper application to speed up the notification process. Please be mindful that we do not have an unlimited amount of fee assistance, so it is important that you submit your 1040 to us in a timely manner. This form can be submitted via email, fax or delivered to us in person at the McGaw YMCA. If you have already submitted your most recent 1040 form to the McGaw YMCA Member Relations team, please let us know.
