We know that photos are an important glimpse into your camper’s Camp Echo experience and can be lifelong keepsakes. Here’s what you can expect while your child is at Camp Echo.
We typically upload images daily.
During the summer, photos are usually posted each day to CampInTouch. Photos of the morning activities are typically uploaded around lunch time and photos from afternoon activities are typically uploaded after dinner. Sometimes photos from late in the day, such as evening program, are uploaded the next day.
We only guarantee that your child will appear in their cabin photo.
Our goal is to give you a glimpse of what’s happening at camp that day, not capture every camper. We can guarantee that your child will appear in their cabin photo. Cabin photos are typically taken at the beginning of the session and posted when all cabin photos have been taken.
There is no minimum or maximum number of photos for a day.
Sometimes there are factors out of our control that affect the number of photos posted per day. Inclement weather often inhibits our ability to take photos as the photographer does not take photos inside camper cabins. The photographer will upload as many or as few quality photos they have each day.
We capture a range of emotions. Your camper may not be smiling in every photo.
Our photographer shoots in real time and captures a variety of camp moments including flag raising, morning reflection, mealtimes, activity areas and team building activities. Sometimes this means your camper may not be smiling in every photo as the photographer focuses on not disrupting skill building or reflection time. If your child is upset or unhappy for an extended period of time, you will hear from us.
We can’t fulfill photo requests.
We don’t have the capacity to fulfill specific photo requests while maintaining our commitment to capture the spirit of Camp Echo.
We take more photos of Traditional Camp than Teen Programs.
Due to the independent nature of many of our teen programs including LIT, CIT, and Voyagers at Outpost and Birches, our photographer typically does not capture as many photos of teen participants. We encourage campers to bring their own digital or disposable cameras if they would like pictures of these programs.
Adventure Trip participants likely won’t appear in photos beyond their group photo.
Due to the nature of our adventure trip programs, participants will likely not appear in any photos other than their group photo. We encourage campers to bring their own digital or disposable cameras if they would like pictures of these programs. We often send these groups with disposable cameras that will be developed and shared on CampInTouch in the fall.
