The Building Services staff (Grade 4) reports to the Manager, Building Services or other assigned supervisor and must be able to operate independently. As part of the Y’s building services team this position is mainly responsible for the corrective actions and repairs to keep the facility in good operating condition. In addition, requires maintenance, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, pool knowledge and decision-making abilities. Will provide support to outside vendors and may participate in safety inspections. This position may include early mornings, late evenings and/or weekend days. The staff and members will be surveyed periodically to assess the cleanliness, safety and timely repairs of the designated work areas. The overall goal is to improve member satisfaction when it comes to cleanliness and safety in our facilities. Adult Private Swim Instructor

Under the direction of the Aquatics Director, the swim instructor delivers the YMCA swim lesson curriculum in group swim lessons and private/semi-private swim lessons. The swim instructor will be responsible for building strong and confident swimmers by creating opportunities that build a sense of achievement and ensure their safety in and around water. Salary Range: $28.00 per hour Department: Aquatics Employment Type: Part-time hourly, Non-Exempt Days/Hours: Varies, 2-10 hours per week. Essential Functions Instructs swimming lessons in accordance with YMCA guidelines, having prepared lesson plans accordingly that meet the needs of the participants.
