					<description><![CDATA[The Building Services staff (Grade 4) reports to the Manager, Building Services or other assigned supervisor and must be able to operate independently. As part of the Y’s building services team this position is mainly responsible for the corrective actions and repairs to keep the facility in good operating condition. In addition, requires maintenance, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, pool knowledge and decision-making abilities. Will provide support to outside vendors and may participate in safety inspections. This position may include early mornings, late evenings and/or weekend days. The staff and members will be surveyed periodically to assess the cleanliness, safety and timely repairs of the designated work areas. The overall goal is to improve member satisfaction when it comes to cleanliness and safety in our facilities.
