Camp Echo Announces Summer 2025 Dates & New Combined Registration

Camp Echo is excited to share the dates, rates, and the introduction of a new combined registration process for the Summer 2025 season! New! Register for Youth Camp and Family Camp Together Starting this year, campers can register for both Youth Camp and Family Camp programs at the same time. Registration for all programs will open on the same dates, with the Early Registration Lottery opening on December 3 until 12:00 p.m. on December 10, and Open Enrollment beginning on January 7. Summer 2025 Dates For those ready to plan their summer adventure, the season will kick off Memorial Day Weekend with Family Camp, followed by Youth Camp programs starting in early June. Celebrating a Century: Camp Echo 100th Anniversary Weekend Recap

Camp Echo celebrated its 100th Anniversary September 20-22 with a momentous gathering of over 230 attendees at the camp’s scenic grounds in Fremont, Michigan. The celebration brought together current and former campers, staff, donors, volunteers, and Echo enthusiasts to commemorate a century of the McGaw YMCA’s overnight camp. The celebration featured a range of activities that honored Camp Echo’s history while showcasing its continued commitment to providing meaningful experiences for future campers. Attendees enjoyed traditional camp activities such as paddlesports, fishing, archery, Echo history discussions, and a campfire. “The 100th anniversary weekend captured the essence of camp in so many ways: the joy, the laughter, and the time spent doing activities but also the time spent simply connecting with each other,” said Bernard Rocca, Executive Director of Camp Echo. McGaw YMCA to Honor Emerson Street Y in New Signage Plan 

McGaw YMCA is set to begin new interior signage installations, including the “Emerson Street Walkway,” honoring the legacy of the historic Emerson Street YMCA.  EVANSTON, IL. — McGaw YMCA is excited to announce that installation of interior signage for its Signage & Wayfinding project will begin in October. This marks a significant milestone in the Y’s ongoing efforts to streamline navigation within and around the 1000 Grove Street building.  During this phase, surfaces will be prepped for the installation of the first round of large-format wayfinding graphics in key areas. Permanent ADA-compliant room signs and directories will then be installed throughout the building, except on the Men’s Residence floors and Level 2 in that wing due to the anticipated renovation of the residence.
