Reciprocity at NU During Pool Closures

Last Updated: 7/2/2024 Thanks to the generosity of our partners at Northwestern University, McGaw YMCA members will have the opportunity to utilize Northwestern’s pool at the Norris Aquatics Center (2311 Campus Dr.) during our annual pool closure period. To allow for your most enjoyable experience and serve as the best neighbors and partners with Northwestern, please review the details below prior to your visit. NU summer pool hours: Weekdays: 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. | 4:30 – 8:30 p.m. Saturdays: 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Sundays: 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Several days will have alternate pool hours: August 11: 12:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. August 30: 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. August 31: Tentatively closed all day September 1: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. September 2: Closed all day September 6: Tentatively closed all day From August 22 – 25, the NU utility plant will be shut down for […]

Improvements Coming to Your Y

Last Updated: 8/22/2024 To improve your member experience and help maintain our facilities, certain amenities at the Y will be unavailable for use during the dates listed below. We appreciate your patience during these improvements and encourage you to use this time as an opportunity to try some of our other amenities while your favorite places are being refreshed. Everybody’s Locker Room: Closed August 9 – 11 Open for use during all other locker room closures. Camp Echo Centennial Recognized by State of Michigan

Camp Echo Executive Director Bernard Rocca accepted the tribute from Michigan State Representative Joseph Fox. FREMONT, MI. – McGaw YMCA’s Camp Echo proudly received a Special Tribute from the State of Michigan commemorating its 100th anniversary. This prestigious recognition highlights Camp Echo’s significance as one of the nation’s longest-standing YMCA camps, celebrating its century-long commitment to creating unforgettable summer camp experiences for generations of children and families. The tribute was presented at Camp Echo on May 25 by State Representative Joseph Fox, who serves Michigan’s District 101 where the camp is located. Accepting the honor on behalf of Camp Echo was Bernard Rocca, who has been its Executive Director for the past 11 years. “We are deeply honored to receive this recognition from the State of Michigan,” said Rocca. “Camp Echo has been in Fremont, MI for 100 years,” said Rocca. “Throughout these years, Camp Echo has been a place
