McGaw YMCA Welcomes Five New Board Members

EVANSTON, IL — The McGaw YMCA, a leading cause-driven, charitable organization at the heart of Evanston, announced the election of five new members to its Board of Directors at its 136th Annual Meeting, which was held virtually on September 13. Coming from housing, banking, legal, community organizing and facilities/engineering backgrounds, the new board members bring years of collective experience and leadership in Evanston to help McGaw address the community’s most pressing needs. McGaw YMCA Announces COVID-19 Vaccine Requirement for Employees

Nearly 90 percent of McGaw YMCA’s employees are already fully vaccinated against COVID-19, thanks in part to the YMCA’s partnership with the City of Evanston to provide free vaccines earlier this year. EVANSTON, IL — As an organization committed to the health and well-being of the Evanston community, the McGaw YMCA has announced it will require employees who are medically able and not exempt due to sincerely held religious beliefs to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by November 1, 2021. McGaw YMCA hosts mission impact series panel discussion on men’s residence program

EVANSTON, IL — On March 4, the McGaw YMCA hosted its second Mission Impact Series live panel discussion, “At Home At 1000 Grove.” Community members, friends, and supporters gathered on Zoom to listen to panelists discuss the critical role of the McGaw’s Men’s Residence program and the vision for expanding supportive housing solutions at the YMCA. The live virtual panel discussion featured McGaw YMCA Leadership, Nicole Woodard, Chief Operating Officer; Roland Fouché, MPA, Senior Director of Residence/Housing; Allie Payne, Advancement Committee Member and Board Member; Peter Morris, Finance Committee Member, and former Board Chair; and Jodi Wickersheimer, Chief Development Officer. The Men’s Residence program at McGaw has offered a supportive housing community for men in the heart of Evanston for more than six decades.
