Staff Spotlight: Meet Eric! He has been a part of the Y family for 16 years, working in Membership & Programs, Fitness, and is now one of our Resident Program Managers. His favorite part of the job? Working with residents to achieve their goal of independent living. Eric enjoys, “helping residents realize their potential to succeed in life. I wanted to be a driving force in helping other men reach their goals.” Join us in celebrating Eric for his dedication to empowering others!

Staff Spotlight: Erin

Staff Spotlight: Meet Erin, one of our amazing Member Relations Associates! Erin is a welcoming presence at the front desk, ready to help with class registrations, facility tours, and anything you need to get the most out of your Y experience. Erin was drawn to the McGaw YMCA for its strong sense of community and its values of inclusiveness, wellness, and social responsibility. She takes pride in being part of a team that makes a meaningful impact while supporting both personal and professional growth. Fun fact: Erin loves visiting botanical gardens and nature spots in every city she travels to—it’s her favorite way to stay grounded while exploring new places. You’ll find Erin at the front desk, in the Fitness Center, or out and about at community events. Be sure to say hello!

Staff Spotlight: Liette

Staff Spotlight: Meet Liette, a Pickleball Ambassador at McGaw YMCA! Liette sets up the courts, welcomes players, and teaches beginners. As a natural connector, she ensures everyone feels included and has fun on the court. A longtime member, Liette’s family has deep roots at the Y. After losing her husband during the pandemic, she found healing through a Y pickleball clinic. “Simply said, pickleball at our McGaw Y saved my life.” Fun fact: Liette volunteers as a River Ranger on Chicago’s Wild Mile—picking up trash while kayaking along the river! Whether you catch her in the Sebring-Lewis Center or at a group fitness class, be sure to say hi!
