The Y’s Head Start Preschool program inspires curiosity and learning and prepares children for kindergarten. Our teachers build on knowledge through Focus Area enrichment activities, stories, and exploration in the community. Family members are included as valued as partners in supporting their children’s learning and growth.

Social-emotional growth is supported so that each child has the confidence to explore, learn, play and build healthy relationships with their peers while developing a sense of independence and preparing for kindergarten. Daily schedules include visits to our large-motor spaces, enrichment classes, and opportunities to learn through exploration. Swimming is added to the schedule twice a week.

Financial assistance is available through the YMCA and other subsidies.

For ages 3 and 4 by September 1.
