Lazy Y Tri Fitness Challenge – February-March

The popular Lazy Y Tri six-week member challenge is back February 20 – March 31!

Complete an Ironman-Distance Triathlon at the Y over the course of six weeks!

  1. Register for the challenge – FREE to McGaw Y members of all ages!
  2. Visit the Fitness Center desk to pick up your tracking card.
  3. Complete the 140.6 Ironman miles within six weeks by choosing one of the four options below:
    • Full Ironman: 2.5 Mile Swim, 112 Mile Bike, 26.2 Mile Run
    • Double Run (No Swim): 112 Mile Bike, 52.4 Mile Run
    • Double Swim (No Run): 5 Mile Swim, 112 Mile Bike
    • Custom: One Full Ironman Distance and One Double Distance

Sample Format

SWIM 2.4 miles 86 laps in the 6-lane pool

BIKE 112 miles 1 McGaw Y spin class each week of the challenge

RUN 26.2 miles 341 laps around the SLC track

All finishers receive a free YMCA t-shirt.
