Apply to Live at the Y

Thank you for your interest in the Men's Residence at McGaw YMCA. All applicants must be 18 years or older to apply for housing at the YMCA. The application process occurs in two phases. If you need assistance to fill out the application or require paper documents, please contact our Residence Department directly.

Phase 1

Complete and submit the Residence Application, which includes your acknowledgement that you have read and agree to the McGaw YMCA Membership Agreement, Releases, & Waivers of Liability and agree to a background check. We only run a criminal background check if we determine that an applicant has satisfied all other application criteria for housing. During Phase 1, please read our YMCA's Code of Conduct.

Once your application is received and reviewed and your background check is complete, our Residence Department will contact you to schedule an appointment. At this appointment, applicants will be asked to provide a State I.D., driver’s license, or passport and any remaining documentation.

Phase 2

As you get closer to the top of the waitlist, our Residence Department will contact you to schedule Phase Two of your application process. You'll meet with the Residence Director to complete necessary forms and submit additional documents, as needed.
