Child Care Attendant

Under the supervision of the Youth and Family Engagement Coordinator or designated supervisor, this position is responsible for high quality care for children from the ages of 6 weeks old to 10 years of age – staff to child ratios, child safety, and child development. Staff support strong parent communication and building a community with children and parents. This position requires morning, evening, and Saturday hours.

Salary: $14.00 per hour

Department: Membership

Employment Type: Part-time

Days/Hours: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 a.m.- noon and/or 3:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.; Saturdays, 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Experience/Education/Certification Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent (although high school students may be considered).
  • Experience with working with young children and or coursework in early development.
  • Must have effective verbal communication skills and the ability to work well in a diverse population.
  • Certification in Red Cross Adult/Infant/Child CPR and First Aid.
  • All 5 Praesidium trainings must be completed within 30 days of hire date.
