We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Cheer/Poms Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various cheer/poms and optionally dance and tumbling, and possess the ability to teach students of all ages and skill levels. This role requires not only expertise in dance but also a commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. The Cheer/Poms Instructor will be responsible for creating lesson plans, managing classroom dynamics, and encouraging students to express themselves through movement. Ideal candidate has experience leading youth ages 3-9.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of students.
- Instruct students in various dance styles.
- Manage classroom behavior and create a supportive atmosphere for learning.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their skills.
Salary Range: $40.00 per hour
Department: Swim, Sports, Play
Employment Type: Part-time Hourly – Non-Exempt
Days/Hours: 1-3 hours per week – evenings or weekends
Experience/Education/Certification Requirements:
- 3+ years of dance instruction experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with children
- Ability to build rapport with children
- Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking skills
- Energetic and energetic
- Excellent physical strength and stamina
