The Building Services staff (Female Staff) as part of the Y’s building services team is primarily responsible for the locker rooms, including a Women’s Only locker room, membership and fitness areas, and residential areas, but may also be required to support other program areas of the YMCA. The cleanliness and appearance of our locker rooms and all other areas are to meet the Association’s standards. The staff and members will be surveyed periodically to assess the cleanliness of the designated work areas. The overall goal is to improve member satisfaction when it comes to cleanliness and safety in our facilities. It is our highest priority that at all times our staff is courteous, pleasant and cooperative to our staff and members.
Salary Range: $15.00 – $16.50 per hour

Employment Type: Part-time Hourly – Non-Exempt
Days/Hours: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends; 20-25 hours/week
Direct Responsibilities
- Cleaning: Ensure all areas of the locker room, including showers, toilets, and changing areas, are clean and sanitized
- Restocking: Replenish supplies such as towels, toiletries, and other amenities.
- Maintenance: Report any maintenance issues or repairs needed in the locker room.
- Guest Assistance: Help guests with lockers and provide information about the facility.
- Safety: Ensure the locker room is safe and free of hazards, such as wet floors.
Experience/Education/Certification Requirements:
- Previous custodial or housekeeping experience is preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Conscience of their surroundings with a focus on safety
- Must be CPR/FA/AED certified within 3 months of hire
