The McGaw YMCA is looking for enthusiastic group fitness instructors. Applicants must have a strong fitness background and be able to teach structured classes to all levels for fun and fitness. We are looking for friendly, attentive, safety-oriented instructors who can communicate effectively to participants. Applicants should be able to motivate participants while paying particular attention to explaining proper technique and demonstrating exercises. Applicants should also be able to give alternative exercises during class for different skill and fitness levels. All types of group fitness formats are welcome, but classes specifically designed to improve cardiovascular health, strength, and mobility of participants are highly desired.
Salary Range: $22.50-$40 per class

Days/ Hours: Varies, 1-3 hours per week
Experience/Education/Certification Requirements:
- This position requires current CPR and First Aid training and a nationally recognized group fitness certification, as well as specialty certification for specific group exercise formats (Zumba, Spinning, Yoga, Pilates, BodyPump, Step, etc.)
- Individual should have a solid knowledge of exercise and training concepts and should be able to communicate effectively with peers.
- This person must have exceptional interpersonal skills and display a high level of customer service.
- 5+ years group fitness instruction experience preferred
