The McGaw YMCA Children’s Center provides year-round, full-day early learning programs for infants through preschoolers and is one of the largest licensed childcare providers in Evanston. Our experienced, highly trained staff create engaging learning experiences that support each child’s cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and creative growth.

The Y’s Head Start Preschool program fosters curiosity, confidence, and school readiness to help children thrive in kindergarten and beyond. We also offer afterschool programs for students throughout Evanston and Skokie, including K–5 programming at the Children’s Center and MetaMedia afterschool programs for grades 6–8 at the McGaw YMCA Main Building.
