McGaw YMCA Hosts Community Day with Camp Echo Fest

Free and open to the public, the Y’s Community Day on April 27 will feature activities for everyone including Camp Echo favorites.

EVANSTON, IL – The McGaw YMCA is gearing up to host an exciting Community Day featuring Echo Fest on Saturday, April 27, from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. The event will take place at 1000 Grove Street in Evanston and is open to the public free of charge.

Community Day is a great opportunity to explore the YMCA’s facilities and experience a range of activities for all ages. Adults can participate in group fitness demo classes led by our expert instructors, with options including Gentle Yoga, Hip-Hop Dance Fitness, and Muay Thai. Families can enjoy fun activities like the Family Fun Gym and Family swim.

As part of the festivities, attendees can participate in Echo Fest to celebrate Camp Echo’s 100th anniversary. Experience the magic of a traditional Family Camp Carnival in the gym, complete with timeless attractions like games, duck races, and face painting. For those eager to celebrate the legacy of Camp Echo, there will be History & Crafts sessions in the Chinnock Lounge.

Community Days at the McGaw YMCA are free and open to the public. Youth under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Facility tours will be offered throughout the day for those interested in exploring everything the YMCA has to offer.
