McGaw YMCA announces YMCA Day of Giving to support programming for all.
EVANSTON, IL – On May 1, the McGaw YMCA will host a YMCA Day of Giving, a one-day event designed to ensure the Y is available to all Evanstonians. The McGaw Y has set a goal of 100 donors to support the children and families in the Evanston community.
“This Day of Giving is more than just a fundraising event; it’s a celebration of community spirit,” said Mark Metz, Chair of the Board of Directors at the McGaw YMCA. “We invite everyone to join us on May 1st as we come together to make a difference in the lives of our neighbors and nurture the roots of our community.”
Thanks to a generous donor, gifts made to the McGaw YMCA on May 1 will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $30,000!
The money raised on this day will help make our high-quality programs available to all. For example, your gift of:
- $95 provides a day of pre-Kindergarten in a safe and nurturing environment
- $108 introduces youth to a variety of sports and skill sets to build confidence in a fun and positive environment
- $125 empowers a family to access healthy living programs through a membership
- $152 teaches a child water safety skills in our lakefront community
- $482 ensures a kid has a summer filled with fun and friendships in a Y program
- $568 supports a month of rent for a Resident Member
Participate in McGaw Y’s Day of Giving on May 1 by donating online, by phone, or in person at the McGaw YMCA or McGaw YMCA’s Children’s Center.
