Thanks to the generosity of our community partners, McGaw YMCA members will have the opportunity to swim at the following facilities during our annual pool closure period.
To ensure the best experience for all, please review the details below prior to your visit.
August 9 – 15: North Suburban YMCA in Northbrook
McGaw Y members are invited to use the pool at the North Suburban YMCA in Northbrook as part of their YMCA Nationwide Membership benefit.
To reserve a swim time, please call the North Suburban Y at 847-272-7250 for same-day booking.
August 9 – September 2*: Westminster Place
During our pool closure, McGaw Y members are invited to swim at the Westminster Place pool at no charge during the following times:
- Monday 6:00-7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
- Tuesday 6:00-7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Wednesday 6:00-7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
- Thursday 6:00-7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
- Friday 6:00-7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
- Aqua Exercise class is available on Fridays at 9:00 a.m.
- Saturday 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Swim times are available in 30-minute timeslots. Reservations may be made starting the day prior. To reserve a swim time or to sign up for the Aqua Exercise class, please call 847-492-3755. Please note: There is no lifeguard on duty at Westminster Place.
August 9 – September 2*: YWCA Evanston/North Shore
The YWCA Evanston/North Shore is offering lap swim times to McGaw Y members at a reduced rate of $7 per swim during the following times:
- Monday: 1:00-2:00 p.m. or 2:00-3:00 p.m.
- Tuesday-Friday: 10:00-11:00 a.m., or 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Please note: our typical reciprocity with the Northwestern University pool will not be available this year, as their pool is closed from July 31 to September 7. Additional reciprocity options may be posted as they are confirmed.
