McGaw YMCA’s Annual Maintenance & Amenities Closures begin August 2. During this time, certain amenities at the Y will be temporarily unavailable as we complete important repairs and improvements.
Thanks to the generosity of our community partner, Northwestern University, McGaw YMCA members are welcome to use the Norris Aquatics Center pool and the Henry Crown Sports Pavilion, located at 2311 Campus Drive during these closures.
Pool Reciprocity – Update
Due to recent storm-related damage, Northwestern University’s pools are no longer available for McGaw YMCA member use during our annual pool closure. Members should not plan to use Northwestern’s pools as an alternative option while our pools are closed.
As an alternative, members can use the North Suburban YMCA in Northbrook from August 8-14 and 24-30.
- From August 8-14 and 24-30, McGaw Y members are invited to use the North Suburban YMCA pool at no charge as part of their YMCA Nationwide Membership benefit. View their summer pool schedule for details. To reserve a swim time, please call the North Suburban Y at 847-272-7250 for same-day booking.
Fitness Center Reciprocity
While the McGaw YMCA Fitness Center is closed, members may use the Henry Crown Sports Pavilion.
Before your visit:
- Request a member verification letter from McGaw Y Member Services at [email protected] or 847-475-7400 x220.
- Visit recreation.northwestern.edu and select Sign In to create an account and complete the required waiver. If you created an account last year, simply log in and complete this year’s waiver.
- Check the Henry Crown Pavillion website for the facility schedule, scheduled closures, amenities, and other information.
Parking
Visitor parking is available at a daily rate on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Please note that parking will not be available on August 9 after 2:00 p.m. or August 23 after 9:00 a.m.
