Reset, reconnect, and restore in 2021 as you prioritize your health at the Y. Join other McGaw members for a community-based challenge focused on getting active, building connections, and restoring mind and body balance.
This 6-week challenge is designed to encourage participants to commit to a new year of being active while reconnecting safely with neighbors and McGaw Y members as you develop restorative habits that will last. Activities are designed to be completed by individuals or families at their own pace.

COST: Free (Members only)
Challenge participants who meet their Challenge Miles goal for each two-week theme will be eligible to receive a $10 McGaw YMCA program credit* for a total of $30 in program credit. All participants will receive a challenge t-shirt.
BONUS: Members who meet their Challenge Miles goals for the entire 6-week challenge will also be entered to win two free 30-minute Personal Training sessions!
How the Challenge Works:
Beginning the third week of January, participants will start completing activities and tracking Challenge Miles with their two-week goal in mind. Participants will focus on a new Challenge Theme every two weeks and will work to meet the goal and track their progress by the end of each two-week period. Participants can choose to earn miles according to the Challenge Miles Chart listed below or can follow the more detailed list of suggested activities for each theme that will be emailed upon registration.
CHALLENGE THEMES
Weeks 1-2: RESET – in weeks one and two of the challenge, take steps to focus on YOU, set new wellness priorities, create community commitment goals, get active with individual fitness options, and register for Y programs that will help you along the way. GOAL: Complete 10 challenge miles
Weeks 3-4: RECONNECT – in weeks three and four of the challenge, increase your activity with group exercise options, work on making progress towards your community commitment goals, and take steps to virtually reconnect with other McGaw YMCA members and your neighbors. GOAL: Complete 15 challenge miles
Weeks 5-6: RESTORE – in weeks five and six of the challenge, continue being active and working toward your goals while taking steps to restore your mind and body balance with new habits that will last throughout the year. GOAL: Complete 20 challenge miles

*Participants must meet the Challenge Miles goal for each two-week theme and log their progress every two weeks to be eligible for the $10 program credit, not to exceed $30 in program credit. Credits will be provided in the form of a voucher for each completed two-week interval and are redeemable for any non-drafting program at the McGaw YMCA. Vouchers may not be used to pay for membership fees. Vouchers will be available for use beginning on March 6, 2021, and are redeemable by June 30, 2021.
