The Y offers a variety of group fitness classes for members of all fitness levels. Y members can attend unlimited instructor-led and virtual fitness classes at no additional cost. We have something for everyone – from low-impact activities like strength training, stretching and water fitness to high intensity classes like BODYPUMP™, interval training and indoor cycling. Our highly trained instructors facilitate class connections in a supportive fitness environment. We offer classes indoors at the Y, outdoors in Evanston parks, and virtually.
YMCA group fitness classes are for YMCA members age 14 and older. Members age 11-13 may participate when accompanied by an adult member age 18+. Read descriptions of our standard group fitness offerings or use the class listing below to view current offerings and class details. Reservations are required for our group fitness classes. You can reserve your spot up to seven days in advance by clicking on a specific class below, or by viewing our schedule on the MindBody mobile app (search for "McGaw YMCA").
