After three months on recumbent touring bikes, Mark Metz and Noreen Edwards are nearing the end of their trek. The intrepid Evanston cyclists expect to reach Yorktown, Virginia, on Sunday, bookending a journey that began at Oregon’s Pacific coast in August.
They have traveled roughly 4,000 miles, and expect to raise over $20,000 for the planned renovation of Evanston’s McGaw YMCA men’s residence.
