McGaw YMCA Draft Payment Agreement

This agreement authorizes the McGaw YMCA to charge your bank account or credit card monthly for membership fees. We will continue to charge your checking account or credit card for monthly membership fees on the 1st of each month, starting next month, in the amount reflected on our website for your membership type until you request in writing that we cancel your membership in accordance with the membership cancellation policies below. Membership dues and joining fees are non-refundable.

Service fees: Should any payment not be honored by your bank or credit card for any reason, you will be responsible for that payment, plus a $30 return fee. This is in addition to any fees your bank or credit card may charge you. Pre-paid dues are forfeited for balances not cleared by the 25th.

Billing updates: When you change your bank account or credit card, you must notify us by the 25th of the month. It is your responsibility to notify us of new expiration dates on your credit card. This agreement will be in effect for any billing updates made to this membership, such as over-the-phone updates and card-not-present payments. Members are responsible for ensuring up-to-date contact information on file.

Membership changes: Any membership changes, including upgrades, downgrades, lockers and holds must be completed and received in writing online or at the YMCA front desk during any operating hours by the 25th of the month in order to be effective for the 1st of the following month. Membership rates will change in accordance with new membership type.

Cancellations: A member may cancel this agreement at any time. All cancellations must be received in writing by the 25th of the month by completing a cancellation form online or at the YMCA front desk during any operating hours. Receipt of cancellations after the 25th of the month will result in your membership drafting an additional month. Your last month of pre-paid dues will be applied to the month after the month paid by your final recurring billing, and your membership will expire at the end of that pre-paid last month. Membership promotions with special agreements require fulfillment of a minimum-term contract. See electronic addendum.

Rate changes: YMCA membership rates typically increase annually. You will be notified in writing prior to the rate increase. Please monitor your monthly bank statement for discrepancies. Should you discover an error on our part and report it within 60 days, we will correct our error and refund the appropriate amount. There will be no refund of erroneous payments after 60 days.

Age policies: Youth, teen and young adult memberships will upgrade on the 1st of the month following an individual’s birthday into a new membership type/age bracket. On the 1st of the month following an individual’s 24th birthday, if they had been eligible as a “child” on the account, the account will be upgraded to the appropriate membership type to reflect this individual as an “adult.”

Financial assistance: Any reduction in fees must be renewed in writing by the assigned renewal date. If financial assistance is not renewed by the deadline or if eligibility is denied, the membership will begin drafting at the full rate.

Preliminary financial assistance (for members joining with YFADESK, YFACALC or YFAFORM promo codes):  Financial assistance award is based upon your total income as reflected on line 9 of your tax return (Form 1040) from one or more tax returns that account for all individuals in the household (less financially independent roommates).  Verification of income with your Form 1040, letter of non-filing or proof of SNAP benefits must be provided to the YMCA front desk during any operating hours within 30 days of joining to continue with membership award amount and in order to receive any program financial assistance.  If verification is not provided, or if income/award amount differs upon verification, the difference in dues will be retroactively charged from your card on file.  Award may not be combined with any additional discounts or membership promotions.

Authorization For Draft Payments

I have reviewed and agreed to the terms and conditions of membership and withdrawal of funds from my checking account or credit card as outlined in this document. I authorize the McGaw YMCA to draft my checking account or card, as indicated below, for membership fees. I understand that my use (or non-use) of YMCA facilities has no bearing on this draft agreement. I understand this draft of my checking account or credit/debit card will continue until cancellation is provided in writing in accordance with the above policy. All membership and program drafts are non-refundable and non-transferable, unless the Y cancels the program. Programs, services and availability are subject to change.
