Sebring-Lewis Center Guidelines
For the safety of all, members are expected to abide by the following rules when using our Sebring-Lewis Center (SLC) gym courts and track.
Court Rules
Scheduled activities have priority – refer to posted schedules.
Capacity is 30 members per court unless otherwise stated or determined by staff.
Use of a personal ball is allowed; there will be balls and other gym equipment available for use.
Store bags and personal belongings in lockers, not on gym floor. Bring your own lock for daily use.
Shirt and gym shoes required on the court at all times. No boots.
No horseplay / rough play or dunking / hanging on the rim of net.
No food, drinks, or gum permitted. Bring your own water bottle (non-glass) with a secure lid. Water fountains will be available for bottle fill only.
YMCA staff have final say regarding court conduct and may remove offensive players.
Coaching by YMCA approved coaches only, outside coaches NOT permitted without prior approval.
Open Court
McGaw Y members of all ages are invited to drop in for Open Court hours.
- Youth under the age of 14 must be accompanied by one Supervising Individual during regular Open Court times.
- Youth Open Court hours are open to youth members ages 11-14
- High School Open Court hours are open to youth members Ages 15-18
Members and guests are required to follow the YMCA Code of Conduct.
Report any issues directly to a Y staff member.
Track Rules
Shirt and gym shoes required at all times.
Keep volume on headphones low - for your ears only.
No talking or taking photos or videos on cell phone.
Do not throw items from track.
No weights on track unless working with staff.
Walkers use inside lane – Runners use outside lane.
Members and guests are required to follow the YMCA Code of Conduct.
Report any issues directly to a Y staff member.
